Institutions Performance Appraisal System for teaching and non- teaching staff
The performance of each employee is assessed annually. The objective is not only toevaluate the performance but also to identify potential aspects for improvement that can eventually lead to further progress and growth of the employee.
For teaching staff
- The performance of each faculty member is assessed according to the Annual Self- Assessment for the Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).
- Promotions are based on the PBAS proforma for UGC Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) that is based on the API score.
- The institute undertakes a wide range of activities besides academics, for which faculty members are assigned additional duties and responsibilities, which are mostly voluntary. The Institute accords appropriate weightage for these contributions in their overall assessment.
- The faculty members are informed well in advance of their due promotion.
- The PBAS proforma filled by the Faculty Member is checked and verified by the IQAC.
Non-teaching Staff
All non-teaching staff are also assessed through annual confidential reports andannual performance appraisal.
We also take feedback from students ,parents and staffs for evaluating the performance of teaching and non-teaching staff to improve their skills.
On satisfactory performance, all employees are granted promotions and financial upgradation.

The institutional Strategic/ perspective plan
An adequate planning is indispensible for administrative and consequent development especially for a higher educational institute like ours. For a good and planful administration collaboration and access of various type of information available by different IT’s in educational sectors is essential. Keeping it in mind the college has already designed a web portal which is adding efficient performance in various administrative and academic matters as expected. Various important forms, Important dates, advertisements, formats (pdf version),E-tenders as well as important official documents are regularly uploaded in the portal for easy accessibility by various stakeholders.

Organogram of the Institution
Our college completely regulated by the authorized Governing Body where the members are selected by West Bengal Government,Vidyasagar University,representative from teaching and non-teching staff, representative from student union and doner memeber.The GB remain functional for four years and within the period GB take decision regarding all over the developement including administration, infrastructural and academic upgradation of the college.GB follow and implement West bengal Service Rule as much as applicable.GB is appointing authority of the collegeboth for the UGC substaintive post, college created Goverment approve post recomended by West Bengal College Service Commission and Higher Education department of West Bengal respectively.

Action Taken
IQAC monitors and review the teaching-learning process regularly. The IQAC conduct periodical meetings with the departments, academic subcommittee, examination conducting committee and all the other subcommittee related to teaching learning process throughout the academic year.
- Academic calendar and routine are been prepared by IQAC and routine Subcommittee and subsequently distributed among teacher and student groups.
- Preparation of teaching plan by respective departments and make these available for the students.
- Apart from chalk and talk method modern learning aids and methods are been followed e.g. use of ICT based teaching methods, presentation of learning by students through seminar, group discussions, field work, industrial visit and students projects.
- Internal Assessments has been arranged time to time through introduction of objective questions for continuous evaluation and It also monitors student’s learning outcome.
- Review of newly introduced objective type internal assessment tests for UG Students.
- Evaluated answer script are subsequently distributed among students to rectify their mistakes and improve their deficiencies.
- IQAC organize to take feedbck from students and parents for reviewing the whole teaching learning process every academic year
- IQAC along with different department organize webinar during this academic session for imroving tecahing learning process.
Through this system of review, the IQAC observed the continuous development of teaching-learning process.
