Library Rules & Regulations
- Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
- Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the library premises.
- Every member must put their signature in the register book available at the entrance.
- Students have to bear the valid library card for entering the library.
- Books will be issued to only individuals and not to groups. Students are advised to inspect the books before borrowing them, and they are accountable for any alterations or damage found when the books are returned.
- Borrowed books must be returned on or before the due date; otherwise, a late fine will be assessed. If the issued books are lost, then the borrower must replace the books with copies of the same edition or the most recent edition, or pay the double price of the lost books with the permission of the librarian.
- Users should not deface, cut, mutilate or damage library materials (including documents) in any form. If found guilty, User will be charged double the cost of that particular material.
- Newspapers and Magazines must be read only in the library on specific tables and should not be taken to any other reading areas.
- Eatables/bags/personal belongings in the library will not be allowed.
- The library card is not transferable. User will be held responsible for misuse of his/her library card. Any loss of library card must be informed to the librarian. A duplicate card must be issued upon formal application and payment of fine.
- Any change of address may be intimated to the Librarian in written application.

About the Library
Moyna College central library was started with the establishment of the college in 1972 as a Govt. aided college. Initially the college had seven academic departments. Gradually newer academic departments were appended, the number of the users rare in course of time and the library began to grow up to keep pace with the academic needs of the growing number of students, teacher and non-teaching employees. The library was shifted to the present location in the year 2014.
The Moyna College Library preserves and provides access to a rich and enduring source of knowledge to inform, inspire and engage its users in their intellectual and creative endeavours by the well-known motto "Right Document to the Right Reader at the Right Time".
The Moyna College library supports the teaching, research, and extension programmes of the college. The college maintains a rich collection that is open to all students, faculty members, and staff. There is a well-equipped Reading Room, which subscribes to Newspapers, magazines, journals, etc. The library is an integral part of the academic setup of the college, the major aim of which is to acquire, collect and organise books and other allied reading materials for use by students and faculty members and thus to support the teaching Programme of the college. Presently the library has a collection of more than 17000 resource materials. It caters to the needs of more than 1700 students at undergraduate levels. The library is well equipped with all the modern facilities and resources (print and electronic). A student becomes a member of the library automatically after taking admission to the College. It introduced state-of-art automation of services with the procurement of the Koha ILMS package in 2022. Since then, it has followed technology enhancement as a continuous process. Recently Web-Centric OPAC has been installed.

Career Counseling Cell
The Career Counseling and Placement Cell of the college is meant for providing guidance to the students to develop their overall personalities and help them meet challenges in their life. The cell provides a good and conducive setting to the students so that they can identify what and how they can opt for to get themselves marketable in future. The cell has been ever active in motivating the students to become career oriented. The aims and objectives of the cell are as follows:
- To monitor & mentor the students’ activity.
- To instill regularity & discipline in the students.
- To inculcate discipline, punctuality and motivation among the students.
- To solve their doubts and provide self-confidence to develop their quality of life.
- To help the students solve their psychological problems.
- To address conflicts in attitudes, habits, and knowledge of the students towards learning practices.
- To develop positive attitude and behavior in order to meet challenges.
- To regularly address detailed problems of the students, their scopes for employment as well as career development.
- To precisely provide guidance to appear in different competitive examinations.
- To improve the teacher-student rapport.

Internal Complain Committee
The Internal Complaints Committee has been constituted according to the UGC guideline.
- The Committee shall consider the Welfare of Women Teaching and Non-teaching staff members of the College.
- The Committee shall consider the recreational faculties for the staff.
- The Committee shall create the health care faculties to lady staff members and girls students
- The Committee shall review the complaints if any received from lady staff members and girl’s students and take appropriate action.
